The new look it says here won't unveiled until 9/24/06, I hope they get get the new unis and logo in the game. I think the game comes out before then right?

How does the new sabres look like? LOL they have been around since 1970 and have already changed their jersey many times. The new Ducks jersey is the ugliest jersey in history of sports (not including baseball, since baseball jerseys are the ugliest )

What are you talking about? This will only be the second time the Sabres made a significant change in jersey design. Vancouver entered the NHL the same year, and they are on something like their 3rd or 4th design. How many times have the Rangers changed their uniforms in the past 30 years, only to end up pretty much where they started. I've lost track how many times the Ducks have changed their uniforms.

Anyway, Buffalo annoucned they are going to use their original blue & gold uniforms as their 3rd jersey. Personally, I wish they would just use them as their primary jersey and dump what is known as "The Buffaslug". There is a big petition campaign trying to get the Sabres to change the logo.

Every single marketing person from the Sabres that I come into contact with says: "The only thing the internet has right is the basic logo, and even they are missing intricate markings and word markings that make the logo."

The new sweaters are almost a navy blue and they are unveiling them this weekend at HSBC arena during a scrimmage at 1:30.

neither nhl 2k7, or nhl 07 have the new uniforms. I'm sure a patch will be released once the uniforms are revieled

is it even possible to "patch" new uniforms into a game? the disc itself is obviously read-only.

i thought a patch just modified your ms dashboard file to fix conflicts involving code that was already written into the game... like when NBA2K6 couldnt import College Hoops 2K6 draft classes.

can they really write an XBL patch for the XBox HD that imports artwork into the game?

when i patched Konami's Winning Eleven 9 to change uniforms and such (did this for my modded xbox version & later a PC version), even for the PC which is stored almost entirely on the harddisk, I still have to first make an image of the game- and then patch that image... And then burn it back to a new disc.

I can't just plug art files into the corresponding folders. i mean it's not like the game is reading jpegs or something

It's possible to run items like that off the HDD. In the NBA 2K6 patch they updated the Heat coach from Stan VanGundy to Pat Riley. Madden allows you to purchase Jersey's from the marketplace. It's just a "skin" change, shouldn't be too complicated.

They announced the style of them and premiered them in early September. When they did that, I am sure that this game was already done. The Unmentionable Hockey Game (that one from EA) doesn't have them either.

Its pretty sad that they call this game "2k7" and they dont even have the new BUF uni-es or put at least the first round draft choices in the game that will play this year (Johnson, Staal, etc). Not to mention COMPLETE THE ROSTER MOVES that have been done since Jun/Jul FOR GOD SAKE!!!!!!! DONT RELEASE THE GAME UNTIL A WEEK OR TWO INTO THE REGULAR SEASON SO YOU HAVE TIME TO GET IT RIGHT!!!......Its really not that hard to do when you do it for a f-ing living!!!!! I'd rather wait for a more accurate game with less tweaking to do than spend the first two weeks on rosters and gameplay, hell i'd probably pay a little more for it too if it was right every year..........anyway, its just another pathetic non-effort on 2k sports part (like 2k6's many similar complaints).

PS Dont even get me started on the CPU movin the sliders on you against rivals......thats just plain retartedness.

Have you seen NHL 07's sad excuse for a roster update? I was so relieved when I popped 2k7 in to see how accurate the roster was. Also Staal, Johnson, etc can't be in the game because they're not part of the union. You have to play a game first to be in the PA, much like in baseball.
