i like baseball because it is a good sport, further more the only sported aired on television in the summer. i like playing baseball cuz im good. i cant really state other reasons.

I love basketball football and baseball, but baseball is a great game because their are so many ways to win. You can win pitching (90's Braves) slugging (20's Yankees) stealing (marlins) or walking (A's eventually). I love how people have reduced it to a science, I love how much history there is. The Yankees Boston rivalry, the greatest rivalry in sports hands down. The mystique of Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Tropicana Field :D.
And how sweet the new stadiums are

Two reasons why, just within the last 3 years:

1. The 2001 World Series between the Yankees and Diamondbacks...game winning homers by Jeter and Brosius in the bottom of the ninth inning. Amazing win in game 7 by the Diamondbacks in their last at bat. One of the best World Series ever.

2. Last year's NCLS. Underdog cubs clearly in the lead and losing it in 7. The infamous game 6. The Cubs' two top aces losing back to back games in 6 and 7 (something they had not done all year). Some of the best times I've ever had watching baseball.

Well the reasons why i love baseball will probably be too much for clutch201 to comprehend seeing he hates baseball until the postseason. All thats telling me is that you have no team to really root for since you dont watch the regular season! :?


Well anyway enough of that lame.....the reason why i love baseball is because you actually get to use your MIND!! If you're ahead of the count 1-2 on a hitter common sense should tell you that you shouldnt throw a fastball down the middle. But maybe if you throw a sinker or an offspeed pitch towards the middle and make it drop 12/6 at the last minute the hitter may bite since it looks hittable from the start. Or who knows maybe the hitter may be expecting something in the dirt or outside so maybe you can get away with a pitch down the pipe. It depends on how you pitched that particular hitter previously and if cant keep track of your pitch chart (like Schilling is so good at) then its going to be a long night against a loaded lineup!

I agree, I stay with the M's from game 1 to game 162, they may be sucking it up now, but wait until September...

I am going to games on Tuesday (vs the Twins) and Saturday (vs the Yanks) :D
