I hope that you can play dunk contest 3point shootout and allstar game online that would be tight

24/7 is a waste of space IMO. I'd rather see an NBA related mode, such as the All-Star weekend. Angels is asking for all-star weekend online, when they don't even have it in the game normally. Or do they? :think:

Maybe they don't know how to make a slam dunk contest without copiing the contest of live...

Maybe you should give them tipps...

Just suggestions...

I'll have to admit that I was never really cared for a All Star Weekend, but being the fact that I don't play 24/7 I guess it would be good to see them take out 24/7 and put it in but they have to do it right and better than EA.

All-star weekend would be a good idea especially online

24/7 mode is amazing, what they need to do is blend the 24/7 from 2k5, 2k6, and 2k7. That way, you could win jerseys, shorts, hats, doo - rags. Also you could get shoe contracts, make your own shoe (NIKEId). Also, you would still be able to pull street moves. Also you should be able to sign an agent, and roam cities, talking to other ballers and hooking up games for yourself.

24/7 NEXT needs to have the legends talk, your two friends need to have more phrases, and you should be able to change the camera

Can you imagine All-Star weekend with 2k next gen graphics and cinematic presentation. With only one player on the court dunking they might even have the ability to enhance the graphics. We'll see.

Scrap 24/7 mode or make it a separate game, i mean it does have elements that work in it. It's just you need to put so much focus on it that you might as well make it a separte game.

As far as the dunk contest goes, they could create a system similar to Tony's Hawk's nail the trick mode. Where you take control of the limbs of the body to pull off diffetent moves. The trigger buttons could be used to represent the feet of the player, ex: if you want to dunk off the left leg you hold the left trigger, right leg you hold the right trigger. Hold both to jump off both. If you wanted to pull an under the leg dunk you just hold which leg you want to hold to put the ball under. The L&R stick would control the arms. The shoulder buttons would control the spin of the body. It's an idea i've been thinking about, but it sounds like it might be too complicated. Let me hear some feedback.

Yeah, that's too complicated. You have only 0.5-1 sec. to push the buttons and the left trigger is already used for post moves and the right trigger for running

mhm... he means the controls are only for the dunk contest not a normal match...

The amount of time you have in the air to perfom the move will rely on the dunker. As an elite dunker you will have some serious hangtime while less skilled dunkers will have less hangtime to pull more difficult dunks. This would eliminate the issue of every person from doing certain dunks with ease. So now there's a level of stratgey involved.

I use 24/7 mode. I've got one going right now. Now it's not what is used to be; it was exponentially greater as recent as last year. Still, don't take it out until you do some sort of Superstar mode.

Plus, doing a dunk contest mode doesn't make much sense if all of the critics belittle the actual dunk contest, and if the NBA starts taking it to heart, who knows for how much longer the dunk contest will be around?

YES, BRING BACK THE SLAM DUNK CONTEST AND 3 POINT, LEAVE THE STREET MODE ON BUT GET RID OF THE STORY MODE, AND GET RID OF THE 24/7 MODE. I DONT KNOW ANYONE THAT USES THAT.

I agree with you I was finna post the same thing or maybe like NBA street but then how can you make and exciting Realistic Sim Dunk Contest.

But here some Ideas I thought of go to a Pre-allstar game camp and do some Dunks to add to ur invetory but I don't know how they could do the button combinations.

I have no Problem with the 3 Point contest cause theres nothing unrealistic you can do but shoot 3's...

Skills aint that sony exclusive so if they do add that it will be PS3 exclusive?

I would LOVE to see the Rookie Sophmore game.

Why not the Celebrity game I mean 2k does put them on there but I would get tired of seeing the same celebrities EVERY SINGLE YEAR

That sounds pretty good. Although difficult at first could be good once you get use to it

Another solution: Lets say you choose the dunk you want to do before you go for it by putting in a command combinations pre-dunk attempt and during the dunk attempt you do the combination during the dunk like in Spider-man 3's interactive cutscenes.

LT = Left foot gather
RT = Right foot gather
LT+RT = Both feet takeoff
LB = Body twist left
RB = Body twist right
LB+RB = Superman dunk finish
Right Stick (CCW) = Through legs right
Right Stick (CW) = Through legs left
Left Stick = Trick Modifier (Direction held determines trick during finsh)
A: Tomahawk Tricks Finish
X: Pump Tricks Finish
B: Windmill Tricks Finish
Y: Clutch Tricks Finish

So if you enter (LB, Right Stick (CW), A) it would equal...
Left body twist, Through legs left, Tomahawk Trick finish

If you miss the on screen combination you created you will drop the ball or miss the dunk

Never player the College Hoops dunk contest so I wouldn't have known that. I had another idea about a year ago that used mainly the the sticks but I forget the exact details right now.

If you miss the on screen combination you created you will drop the ball or miss the dunk
To add to that

It would be nice if you can go to a Pre Dunk Contest Practice and Make up tricks and It gives u a button combination to do then at the Dunk contest you have to put the combination in.

blacq23 that idea is perfect but a little hard to do...the 3pt shootout could improve a little bit from the 24 7 crap against peja the jump shot timing should be like the real sig shot of the playa

I was also thinking, to give the 3pt contest some change and a larger range of difficulty is establish more control of shooting. One example i got is is using both L+R stick to represent the hands of the shooter. One stick is the shooting hand the other stick the support hand. Pulling back on the stick would bring the ball, while pushing the sticks up will complete the shooting motion. The key would be to try to create the smooth shooting motion which is deciede on the speed you pull the sticks and how sensitive you are with the sticks. I'm not quite sure if explained it well enough, it's too much details involved to probably make this work. Well just another idea i'm throwing at ya.

yea your saying do it a little something like live's free throw shooting. it makes sense. they at least need to put a 3 point shootout in this game. in 24/7 it was in there so we know they can do it. skills challenge wouldn't take much either. the dunk contest would be the hardest part. plus they could do their own version of the shooting stars. just have a reg player, someone on the legends roster, and a celebrity. that would be tight too.
