Ok, so i was browsing through the NBA Live 07 forums when I found this thread...

They are comparing the Live pic to the 2K7 pic. Which do you think is better?

Game speaks for itself, and to believe that Live games compare to VC's games is sad.
Its just funny too see that they want to believe live will be better than 2k. When in Essence each year has been a waste of money poored into EA.

Competition is good though for both cause it makes them want to make each year 10 times better than the last years version. To me though with all that 2k has done to make it 100x better than 2k6, makes me want 2k7 more because the reality is, that Live sucked hardcore last year. Its almost coming up on a year and I still play 2k6 as much as i did when I bought it. So ya no brainer.

It's kool. They can bash it, but they all know that 2k is better. That one dude was sayin all good things about 2k, but would say, "I just know Live will come through" lol. He's going to change, I can tell, once 2k7 come out. 90% of the fans of Live will switch when 2k7 come out. Only those who are brain washed to believe Live player models look better, or that Live's gameplay is better, will be the one's who stay. Graphically, for the most part, it's been 2k winning in that department. Live won like once. In the gameplay department, 2k has won every year, except 2k4. The gameplay on 2k4 was beyond dead. 2k7 will kill Live again, with better player models, and WAY SUPERIOR GAMEPLAY. As far as the faces go, IMO, one might got a face right, the other might got a face right. It's 50/50 in that department. 2k used to kill in that department to, but either they slowed down or EA caught up. Probably 2k slowed down.

I think it was like live 04 or something where they "revamped" everything. Dude it was the same game.. no different. Its a ploy that bigger companies use cause they know ppl will buy there product no matter what. Whereas VC accually has to put out a good product in order to sell.

Personally, the 2K pic has more "emotion" and seems more "alive" to me, but other than that...there's really no "defining moments" for neither of the pics. Also, how do you overdo cloth physics?

The 2K7 T-Mac definately needs to be fixed. It's wierd that this was brought up, but since I see nthat screenshot of T-Mac on 2K7 I couldn't believe he was in a Rockets jersey wearing number 1. The skin tone is off, the eyes are off, and the face is waaay off. Live 07has a decent model of him. They at least have his droopy eyes and skin color down. Im a huge rockets fan and plan on buying 2K7 this year, so I hope they seriously fix T-Mac before the final build.

I don't even worry too much about the graphics for either game. It's more about the gameplay and what is more realistic now. You get used to the graphics eventually either way. The gameplay is what will make or break the game.

The graphics have never been a debate for most people who have followed 2k vs. Live over the years...2k has always been superior graphically....there have been years (2004) when Live had better gameplay but never graphically....check it out....

I am not bias towards neither one of the 2. But, 2k has gotten the best of Live since it dropped for dreamcast. Live, was better maybe one time and it was debatable. The people who think Live has been better than 2k all this time, I bet they are die hard EA fans. Thanks to those EA fans is why all of us basketball game fans dont get the best out of these game producers because they know peolpe will buy the game even if it sucks. P.S. the rim and the way the ball goes threw the rim also is very unrealistic for Live. Oh and the 720 spin move also. I am just telling the truth so don't get mad. I spend my money only on worthy things.

Look, I know I'm late on this, but I can't believe the amount of fanboyism on each site (yes, including this one). 2K still needs a lot of work with their cloth and their animations (and their stadium lighting). I don't know what else they need to work on visually except for those. Live, however, needs to work on head/body proportioning, facial expressions, cloth (they need to move), rims, player/court proportioning, etc.

They both have quality stuff, and they have flaws. I don't own a 360, so I don't even care about the next-gen stuff anyway. For me, it's about current-gen, and Live doesn't hold a candle to 2K in current-gen stuff.

all I can say is that I've never seen a screen shot of live look like the real thing. I remember looking at a Slam magazine and seeing a screen shot of Paul Pierce shooting a fadaway on 2k6 and I didn't know it was a game until I read the caption. The biggest thing I had against live 06 is that you needed a magnifying glass to see your players. If you think the faces look better on live I might agree with you a lot of times. but if you think the animations, arenas, fans, and overall look is better I think your crazy. I would never choose live 07 over 2k7. If someone can give me a good reason to then post it.

Live's pics only look good when it comes to screen shots like this and it still isn't better than 2k's pics. And the actual game graphics doesnt ever look anywhere close for Live. They look somewhat similar to the screen shots only during instant replay.

Hey check this out on the release date go to your local gamestop here they have both games in the same systems to compare whether it's 360-2K7 vs 360-Live, and I do this every year and 2K is always the best, or go current gen Xbox-2K7 vs Xbox-Live, it doesn't matter, 2K is always better, man I use 2 B a fan of live, 2k then showed up then I compared both, I had an open mind and that's when I switched my thinking to man you never know until that time, but after that every year 2K came alot stronger, hands down.

Lol in my opinion it looks like Live took a step back instead of leaping forward on the next gen. I remember last years graphics looking better than this years. And why do all the live players look like they are pale even brown skin people like T-Mac and Odom. Why so pale?? Just compare each of the pics and see the drastic skin tone difference. They're skin tones are way off. 2k always has Vince coloring off but thats one person so its not to bad. I hope all players in live don't look like that.

Those are early builds of the game look at the Dallas and Heat pics and tell me why Dallas crowd is wearing the heat jerseys if those pics is new builds of the game EA have some real issues.

Your opinion is welcome, both T-mac's look like T-mac. How is my proof Invalid. Someone's interpretation of a real life subject may not be the same interpretation that you have. 2k's T-mac is more detailed than Live's T-mac, I feel they are both ok, but who cares, your not going to be focused on their face during gameplay.

It's too much harping on little things like player's eyebrow's and such that real gameplay issues dont get the recognization that they deserve.

Give me great rotation defense over a bump-mapped basketball any day.

:thumbsup: Thank you, I would be satisfied w/graphics from a couple years back if the gameplay was decent. I can tell who the players are so it's fine to me. I get excited when I hear that 2k7 will let me explode out of the triple-threat position or I hear about deeper post moves not when I hear stuff like sweat will come off of you when you dunk. I mean it's cool and all but I would rather have gameplay any day over graphics......but that's just me

Live does have better graphics i agree. Anybody in their right mind will see that. It is much more sharp and clear then 2k but i prefer 2k because of the gameplay. The gameplay on the 2k is great. Live has some ugly animations and very stiff movements IMO. If live can fix that then it will be a good game..

All I know is last year everyone said Live had better graphics but 2k beat it down on my HDTV. This year's games don't look any different from the screenshots at least.

Please when you got up close to Live's Players in HD or non-HD, they looked like glossed up wood Not good player models at all, Now the arenas were great in Live 06 for the 360.
