I am thinking they will surprise us with an NBA All Star Weekend. It would look so much better than NBA Live's. If they don't add this I guess I will have to buy both. NBA 2k7 and NBA Live 07. 2ksports if you are reading this please add the NBA All Star Weekend.

EA started signature shots in 06 on the 360 they just added more this year and also the shot stick is not the same its used for speacial moves in live.

wdf "2k type of basketball", dude asw wouldnt make the game diffrent then what it is already. It just makes the dynasty more real. ASW is part of the nba in real life, so i dont see whats the problem with adding it in the realest basketball game out. And plus ASW wont hurt the gameplay

If they put in ALL STAR WEEKEND all EA fans is gonna say. "look at em, they had to copy off of Live's idea to try to pick up sells." I think the 24-7 mode will be alot tighter this yr! All star weekend would need more time to be worked on in my opinion. Live's version was a nice thought but the dunks were way too unrealistic for me. I could see the 3ball competition or something, but your talking more time for development and stuff. 2k is gonna do its thing regardless of what Live promises they'll do. All Live is done so far is released CG movies of their game, which they always do year after year. Let me see one gameplay movie then I'll shutup lol.

Yeah I've been waiting on NBA Live 07 vids of gameplay also to compare with 2K7. CG vids dont mean crap. I want to compare the footwork and gameplay physics. It's going to be damn hard to beat 2K7 though based on the gameplay vids of the awesome animations weve seen recently. Im not being a 2K fanboy, Id like for both to succeed so I can eventually own both games. Also better competition means both companies going to extremes to make even better games in the future for us. :cool:

What is the point of having a dunk competition that is unrealistic. Seriously. Having an all star comp is too detailed. Ability's of players are going to come into picture and it gets too complicated to have a realistic all star weekend.

Yeah u got cults goin at it and yes it is a videogame (sounds just like politics to me and don't get me started on dat! lol), but its our money 2. I aint gonna buy no crappy game cuz its got a feature I AINT EVEN GON USE MUCH (especially not for 60 bucks)! If I wanna arcade game, i'll buy NBA street Vol whuteva. If I want a perfect sim game, I've been goin with 2k. My roommate is a Live and EA fanatic, but even he admitted last yr it was horrible, it was slow and other things. He now plays 2k6 on 360 until he decides on what to get when the 07's drop. Im not sayin that 2k is far superior or perfect or nothin but if the evidence is on tha murda scene, case is closed! Thast not saying much because both games have serious exploits online. I will say that 2k6 is more fun vs the CPU because we have more controls and the AI is smarter and adjustable with the tendencies and all.

thacarter have you played the 360 version of Live at all? I dont think the core gameplay was better then Live 05. I would say it was worse.

If they'd just fix the All-Star Game, I'd be happy wihtout the dunk contest, 3-point shootout, skills comp, and all the other bells & whistles. It doesn't seem like 2K has figured out how (or they've decided it's not worth the time to figure out how) to make a neutral-site game or adjust the coaching tendencies to make sure all 24 All-Stars see action in the game.

I’m the other way around. I haven’t played much of the old guard Live since 04 when it was clearly better then 2k4. I played some of Live 05 and it felt just like 04 with a gimped hop step. FSS sounded kinda silly so I had not interest in Live 06. I only played the 360 versions a lot cuz I was getting paid. If you really get used to 2k6 it has great controls on offense. The dribble moves and the shot stick are great for making a player do what you want to do. Its better then freestyle because you actually need a little timing to do a move. 2k6 just needs defense to really be an elite game.
