I usually pick up the college games after a slight price drop. College Hoops usually aren't as good as NBA 2Ks, but if they do serve as a nice break from the NBA games. College Hoops usually comes off as the budget-quality versions of the NBA games. Generic faces (can't really blame them for that though...), "stiffer" gameplay, and the lack of flare that the NBA games have tend to detract from the gaming experience of the College games.

I'll buy it, but not right away... unless they really up the quality

CH 2K always has better gameplay, maybe the faces are generic, but the playability is always perfect

Here is my suggestion, rent college hoops 2k6, and if you have action replay go over to operation sports and get the rosters from last years college season. This game is great but having all of the names of the actual players and coaches really helps raise this game to the next level.

I love hearing the announcers say the proper names while I'm playing.

(Operation Sports usually has the college rosters ready within a week of the release of College Hoops, I have to say it really helps me keep track of who is really who on all of the teams.)

I will get it. I gotta get that action replay too, cuz havin the names is alot better for me. The on fly subs really don't work to well when you don't know who the hell your takin out and puttin in lol. So I will get it on the first day. Same wit NBA 2k7.

Absolutely I will buy this game. I love this series, a near perfect blend of stellar gameplay and outstanding atmosphere. I just hope they fixed the fight song glitch from 2k6.
I have regular X-Box, and for $20, it's a steal. When I get a 360, I will get either 2k7 or 2k8 for that platform.

I voted if the price is right but i see the price is gonna be normal 360 game price. I really wish they would discount it because 120 bucks for two basketball games is a bit much. They really should think about a 2 for 100 deal or something.

If they have the rosters for the 360 at OS that would really push me into getting it at launch.

Yeah, it would be nice because I have to buy a XBOX 360 first. I started to get one last year but I wanted to see how everything went with it. I'm trying to wait until right around NBA 2k7 release date because if I buy it now I'm getting Saint's Row.

I'll get it. I have the past five years. I never buy any NBA games, but I'm in love with the College Hoops ones, and for only $19.99. And, I plan on it, but may not have time, but I am going to try to start a Cincinnati Bearcats Legacy on here. I made one in early 2005 on Operation Sports and it was voted Legacy of the year over there. It takes a lot of time however.

Man i cant wait for CHoops 07 to come out. Im a big college sports fan and video gamer. However, im a huge EA supporter, i love EA. I buy ncaa and madden every year and in the past i also bought march madness every year, back when it was really good. BUt the past few years ive been buying both MM and choops and Choops absolutely tears MM up. I mean MM has some things that are better, but those are very minute. I mean Choops has way better gameplay, way more realistic, way better graphics and the dynasty/career modes are un touchable compared to EA which is known for dynasties. BUt its like EA can give an F about MM and put no effort into it. I also like how Choops puts the entire roster including true freshman no matter how bad they, but EA always leaves out most of the frosh, they only put in the top recruits. I cant wait. And i love it how its only 19.99. But i will also most likely buy MM when it comes out just to see how it is. BUt i heard that wont be coming out till Feb. So its a while for that. I cant wait for Choops 07.

I might give Pacific and run. I built up a nice UC Santa Barbara team in 2k6 and I've ran with Cal Fullerton and Long Beach state before in 2k3 or 2k4. It's all in how things stack up. I play career legacy so I have to get what they offer job wise. In 2k6 I turned down a few mid-major jobs to take over UC Santa Barbara; on paper that team was better than the mid majors I was offered at the time.

I always wonder why it could not be longer. MVP Baseball had 100 years on their leagacy I think. Most systems have a harddrive so space to save stats and game files should not be an issue.

Yeah, all small conference teams should be available in career mode. At the end of the day you still playing as a small conference team.

I always play these games on legacy mode most of the time because i am the only child and I love the legacy mode. it is so realistic! The recuiting, having the assistant, the in season tourneys, and the shows were a great idea. I love this game and if you are a true College Bball fan you will too!

Yeah man, college hoops is a must buy for all true b-ball fans. I love the NBA2k games, but College Hoops 2k is what I really be waiting on; that's why I post so much in the CH2k part of the forum.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. With the NBA game you can get who you want if you have the money, with college hoops it's a different story.

I'm probably going to get it just because of the new incoming freshman. That should be the best part of it for me. Other than that, I have a PS2 and there aren't any new features (No team unity or NIT) that are that much different than 2k6. I hate 2k for that, but it's better than buying MM.
