I'm thinking about buying CH-2K7 for the PS2 this late November (It's only $19.99! Sweet!). And if there is one thing I like about a sports game is the power it gives you to create the next powerhouse franchise; from jerseys to arenas and from logos to fight songs. I have ESPN CH-2K5 (For PS2), and from what I saw, "Create-A-School Mode" was absolutly sucked. It only had a limited amount of 6, pre-coloured logos. There was no way I could create a jersey either (they only had the colors of the logo). Plus, they only had 10 designed arenas to choose from and what to desisn my own arena. I read some great reviews about the "Create A School" Mode for 2K7, but I want to know if it has the goods to back it up? Also, will the "Create-A-Chant" Mode be on the PS2 Version??

You talking about CH2K6 right? 2K7 ain't out yet. Back to your question, it's about the same as 2K5.

Ya their create a school mode is weak, but who cares. i think its pretty akward creating a fake team. I like taking a real team that is weak and in a weak conference and then build them. thats the fun part. I just wish you were invited to higher conf like in MM and ncaa football.

I would love to be able to move to a better conference. Hell, I could settle with moving to the Independent conference and beefing my schedule up.

ya atleast not in the video game. thats why in closed legacy they never gave you the option to be an independent and when i did an open legacy and chose an idependent. i scheduled all the top team and won them all and didnt go to the post season.

not really, cuase if you think about it. There really is no independent conf. like in football. Really all the indy conf. in bball is used for is for the team that are transistioning from d-2 to d-1. teams that arent post season eligible for a few years anyways. like bakersfield and UC davis were both d-2 teams a few years back. bako was last year and uc davis was like 2-3 years ago. Then they moved to the big west which is where pacific is. however they are both still post season inelgible and still not officially in the conf cause it take like 2-3 years for the transition to be official. But they are pretty much in no affiliate with a conf, so its pretty much the indy conf. but they play the big west teams as if they are in conf and there other games are scheduled against d-1 teams. like in last years game, uc davis was in the independents and bako should be in there too.

There is no independent conference, the teams are just ranked together sometimes. Independent teams could still get an at-large bid, it's just very rare, and probably has never and might never happen. And there's no conference tournament because they're not in a conference.
