First they give KC a free FG then they dont call the penalty when hall returned the punt.

Did you see the game last night? Colts vs Bucs? What a sham, those officials made a game deciding descoin on a penalty that didnt happen. They were throwing stupid flags all game and inside the 2 mins and ot NOT ONE of their BS calls was even reviewed by the booth. You have a VERY questionable penalty that decides and ot game and you dont even review it? I cant wait until these stupid officials are replaced, im tired of their BAD CALLS deciding important games.

can't review judgement calls, unfortunately

although that last penalty was PURE BS, the game was one of the best i've ever seen

(as a miserable falcons fan, watching the bucs lose is one of the only pleasures i have left, football-wise)

My point exactly. I have seen so many fumbles get ruled incomplete and caused by the ground when they were clearly shown in REPLAY otherwise. The nfl has a huge problem on their hands with these whistle and flag happy refs. All of them want to get their face on tv and want that trip to Hawaii. Coaches get two challenges and should be able to review whatever call they choose. Most of the bad calls in the nfl are judgment calls. Ball spot is a judgement call and it can be reviewed so why cant a stupid penalty that didnt happen and effects the WINNER OF AN OT GAME not be reviewed? If i were Gruden i would walk straight up to that officail after the game and tell him, "thanks for handing my men who fought one on the toughest games of their lives an overtime loss on ANOTHER bad call".

Missed a great comeback, but the overall game was marred by the horrible call at the end. I that had been Basketball, they wouldn't have called a foul. The fact that this has gotten so much play shows the fact that what could have been called a classic Monday nighter is now considered (by a number of folks) to be a black eye.

It was a game filled with BS flags and decided by the officials. You had two great teams on that field battleing each other and the officials just wanted in on the camera time. I hope the league takes a long look at that game and sends those pathetic refs back to the xfl or were ever the hell they got them. I dont see how as an official you can throw a flag on a games deciding play when it is a judgement call that had no bearing on the play. A perfect example or POOR officiating deciding a GREAT football game. The NFL has serous problems and they better start adressing them. I know everyone want to pat them on the back and tell them how hard there job is but if i made a mistake that costs my intire company i asure you disaplinary action would be taken and those officials shouldnt be coddles like children. They need to take responsability for their mistakes and be punished acordingly.

Yea I saw the Bucs get a call for them in OT when the kicker fell on top of a Colt player and he got the BS call. TB couldnt capitalize on that too bad for them.

Then the Colts got a semi-BS call to get a free shot at a game winning FG. Yes the call to me shouldnt have been made cuz it decided the game, but its in the rulebook that you cant jump and then land on your own player cuz that gives you a better chance at a block. Sure the ball was long gone by the time he landed, but what if it wasn't? Thats why they called it.

By the way, GreyHoundSteve I still dont get how you are a TB fan when you live in Dallas? Dallas has nothing in common with TB, different part of the country, different kinds of people, different weather, are you just another bandwagon fan? Sounds like it to me. I hate TB being that Im from Miami(I love Sapp though UM). Its like the UM-FSU-UF thing in college we all hate each other. So why are you a TB fan again?

have you been to Dallas? Do you serously think that peeps have to root for the team of the town they live in? Sounds like someone picked your favorite team for you. I like the team that best fits me. I have been a bucs fan for about 7 yrs now. Being in that staduim is great. Have you ever been to Texas stadium? It sucks. I like the bucs and what they are doing and have for years but if they sudenly fired Gruden and hired Wanstat lost that great D and brought in Ricky Williams i wouls surely find a new team Winning or not.

The chiefs had some luck on Sunday. Not saying the Broncos didn't have any luck, but unless Hall runs back a kick every other game the chiefs will not go that far against a good teams.

Besides O'Neal ran back a kick and they actually threw the flag.

If I were a KC fan, I wouldn't be too cocky.

Best fits you? WTF?? You mean the team that wins the SB hahahaha. You've been a Bucs fan for 7 yrs now??? WOW!!!! You are not a real NFL fan sorry. NFL fans have loved LOVEEEEEEEEd their teams since they started watching football. You dont just pick a team and go with them until you find a better team or until you find a team that "fits" you whatever that means.

Also, you dont even know the name of your teams stadium? Sad. You just call it, that stadium, hahahahhahaha. I thought you knew alot about football and that you were a real fan, guess not. And dont worry your team wont get Ricky, youll be stuck with Alstott the 2mph RB and the restof the bums on your offense. Well, have fun watching the bucs, after this year, you may wanna try to find a team that "fits" you better and go with them for 5-6 yrs until they win a SB and then switch again.

Dante Hall is an awesome return man, no doubt, but I think that NFL officials are giving him and his special teams breaks on penalties just because it makes for good TV and ratings everytime he touches the ball. He will continue to boost ratings when he returns punts/kickoffs for TD's vs getting them called back on clipping penalties. Is he good-yes he is one of the best return men I have ever seen play, but that doesn't give the Chiefs some kinda room when it comes to penalties. The officials need to open their eyes and see the penalties. That clip was so obvious in the Denver game but didn't get called-what gives man...gotta sell those tickets and get those ratings I guess.

without that play the chiefs lose. good tv I guess

I'm a steeler fan and in the browns game there was a very similar return for a touchdown...but randle el's return got called back because of a similar clip....hmmm , guess he doesn't have the star power to divert the officials eyes away from those clipping penalties.

I'll probably **** some people off because of this post....the officials around the NFL need to call better games is the point, and not give any player any kind of special treatment because of star power.

Well, with the Chefs vs. Broncos, I feel like we (the broncos) should of won. We out played the Chefs statistically. For a team averaging 30 some odd points a game, we held our own, and our D proved a lot to me considering that was a huge question mark at the first of the year. Honestly, though, we didn't play that well as a whole. There were many times we could of put the game out of reach, and you can't expect to win such a huge game with as many mistakes as we had (Jason Elam's missed FG, Deltha O'neal's fumble on our own 25 which lead to an easy TD for the Chefs).

I understand missed calls is all part of the game. There were times the broncos could of been called for a few defensive holding/pass interference calls. But come on, I counted THREE illegal blocks to the back/clipping on Dante' Hall's punt return. The one where Chris Cole was pushed in the back around the 8-10 yard line. Willie Middlebrooks was smash in the back from there trying to make the tackle. And then again, Chris Cole was hit in the back as one if the Chef players stuck his arms out as to say, "I was just falling into him ... him and his back" because he knew it could be called. Horrible.

But it's all moot now. We're a better team, we played sloppy, and still had them beat till the Dante' Hall's return. Actions speak louder than words, and the broncos will prove that when we beat them at Mile High ... AND THE PLAYOFFS!

next week is a very easy game for the broncos against pittsburgh (easy win) so the team should be back up and ready to play the vikings.

Broncos aint got nuthing on the chiefs.....and by the way you guys were stupid to kick it to hall, and we were in punt block so that was all hall and alotta missed tackles by ur punt return coverage

only reason KC won was because the refs gave them 10 points.

There were two illegal blocks right in front of the ball carrier. # 23 got crushed in the back and when he got up, his teammate got hit in the back knocking them both down.

As for the Bucs, the wannabe "the best defense in NFL history", they gave up 21 pts. in less than 5 minutes. They deserved to lose.

Re: DEN/KC
Special teams were the difference. They are an overlooked and underrated part of football. Blocks in the back or not, KC dominated this aspect of the game, giving them good field position.

Re: IND/TB
Let's not forget that ultra-cheap roughing the kicker penalty against IND in OT. Not as big as the Rice penalty, but if TB had won, we'd all be talking about that call, right now.
