Yeah, I agree! You have to have some type of foundation with a career team. I have to have some type of chance at winning.

I know one thing, I like picking east-coast and mid-west teams.

why, is it easier to recruit there? I can normally get a 3 and a 2 star in 2k6 with navy to start, then I made the final 4 (me and my friends sim the whole season, then play the CT and NT on 1 minute quarters). After that, I got only 1 stars until I left

I like picking a mid-west or east-coast team because of recruiting. As a small conference team you don't have as many points, so I pick a good area and recruit the surrounding areas.

What Do you guys know about Pacific? Youve heard of them right?

I usually do one with the Long Island Blackbirds, and then I do one with the Cincinnati Bearcats, which should be tough since they are rebuilding this season and in the Big East with lots of competition like Connecticut, Louisville and Villanova...

Yep. I believe they won the Big West last year? And lost in the first round of the Tourney?

yes, but in the last 4-5 years they have had like the top3 records in the nation. They are one of the top mid majors in the nation. and last year they lost in the first round but almost won in 2ot's against highly favored BC, the year before they beat Pitt in the first round and barely lost to #1 seed washington and the year before that they beat highly seeded providence in the first round and then they barely lost to very highly seeded Kansas.

When I think Pacific I think Candyman.

I would like to start one with Xavier, Gonzaga, Drake, or maybe Cincinnati (thank god Huggins isn't on the team). However i always do career mode so i have to build up to one of those teams so I usually look for a team i can build up with for two years before leaving for a mid-major team

Please dont think of the Candyman everytime you think of Pacific. I mean he was a great player when we had him. BUt thats it. He is known for the worst #1 pick ever, the biggest choke, the most overrated player. So as of today, we dont carry that name with us to make us more known. We arent known because of him. We our know nation wide becuase of how good we have been in the past three years. Going to second round of the ncaa tourney with huge upsets over Pitt and Providence and then last year going in 2 ot's again Highly seeded and favored to go to the final 4 Boston College.

I can't help it. I watched him play a good bit in college. You can't disown him now.

No, i dont disown him at all. I grew up watching that guy. Its just that people think of Olowokandi as the worst #1 pick every and when most people think of Pacific, they think of olowokandi and they think "oh Pacific is the team that had that guy who choked at being the #1 pick" No one disowns him over hear. its just what im saying. Pacific isnt known nation wide becuase of olowokandi. We are known nation wide because of what we have done these past few years. When we had olowokandi. Our teams pretty much sucked.

ya thats another thing they need to fix. As the years in your legacy/dynasty or whatever your playing, the recruits get taller and taller and taller. After a few years, something like 5 years the pg are like 6'10+. they need to fix that.

well ya ofcourse. But thats just not realistic. You want this to be realistic, especially the players.

Yeah, that's to much. I like a tall lineup but they went to far last year. In past CH2k games I have dug and found a few 6-7/6-8 pgs but last years game went to far.

I'm rolling with Old Dominion, since I used to attend that school. Even though their best two players graduated, it's going to be fun rebuilding and taking over the CAA for years to come.

The Colonial Conference is a nice mid-major conference to play in.

Ya maraker was a SR last year. Thought he was going to be a late 2nd round pick but that didnt happen. he spent time with the kings and is now playing ball over in europe. How you know about him? You live close to here?

Wisconsin plays Pacific this year so it will be interesting to check out your team. I'm playing with UW-Milwaukee. I know they will suck big time this year, but I do like their non-conference schedule: VS UAB, VS WSH St., @ MICH & @ WIS, If I get bored I can always play with MARQ or WIS.
