The Pixies are a mid to late 80's alternative rock band that didn't make it big in the US during the time(huge in the UK), but if you talk to most music buffs of the era, they are one of the defining bands of the genre. They are creditted with being one of the originators of the loud verse then soft chorus by quite a few, but don't put my word on that, I'm not familiar enough with the history of music to make such a claim.

Anyways most people have heard "Where is My Mind?" because of the popularity of Fight Club, it's the song played at the end when Ed Norton comes to terms with everything.
