THE RANKINGS NEED CHANGED DESPERATELY BACK TO THE FORMER RANKING SYSTEM AS OF THE GAMES ON THE PS2 THE LAST FEW YEARS->

I don't know about all of you, but I'm really not a fan of the monthly restarts and the fact that whoever has no life and plays all day gets ranked number 1.

-Basically, this years system was dumbly changed so that whoever has the most wins gets the best rank.

-Also losses do NOTHING to your rank.

-This needs to be changed back to the former rankings on the ps2 where the quality of record was what made your rank. And losses hurt you, but if you lost to someone ranked closely to you they wouldn't hurt you as much.

-and I think rankings should be looked at as an option of choosing overall and monthly rankings, but display the Overall YEARLY rankings in the lobbies and just have the option of monthly rankings in the leaderboards menu, similiar to how madden does it.

Who agrees that this needs changed!?

I think it's a known fact that online rankings don't mean squat. Especially with all the cheesers out there.

well they cant if the sim people I play with are up there, but they cant be with the current ranking system because quite frankly they don't play all day long to rack up wins.

I totally agree with Maddox on this issue.The ranking system on ps2 is what got me playing college hoops 2k5 for soo long. If it wasnt for that and if the ranking system was like xbox, I can guarantee you that i would not have played online as much. Basing rank on quality of wins just makes the game so much more competitive and there are actually MEANINGFULL games online. Lets say your ranked 900 and you play a guy ranked 100, I think I should move up a few hundred while the other guy should drop a few hundred. But no, on xbox the people who sit home all day have the best rank cause they have nothing better to do with their life have the best rank. I know a bunch of loyal 2k basketball game players that would enjoy the game SO much more if the ranking system is like it was back on ps2. The games are actually competitive and something actually happens to your rank if you lose, unlike this year. PLEASE, take this into consideration 2K and VC because im sure the outcome will be a positive one if the ranking system is changed. thanks for your time.

I remember last year I playe dtough games against people reanked in the top 50 and the ones that didn't cheese were always fun games that I wanted to win. I personaly don't know what the new ranking system is but if is changted I will not play as many lobby games. It was also fun to play people from my league ina lobby game because we were all ranked in the top 300 or so.
