When drunk nights get remembered more than sober ones...
Walk like warriors, we were never told to run...
Explored the world to return to where my soul begun...
Never looking back or too far in front of me...
The present is a gift...
and I just wanna BE

I didn't learn from a tab. I learn most of my songs by ear. But uhh... I learned how to play it, and figured that it would be very hard to move your fingers so quickly. If you have a capo, it will make this song much easier. It's still tough to work quickly, but it's easier.

If you have a capo, then I will continue onto how to play it. If not, you should think about getting one. :)

Yeah i have a capo

U ever write any songs?

We should collaborate if u do. I have trouble coming up with my own material. The only one that I still remember how to play for sure is the song I wrote for my late best friend. Anything else is pish-posh and probably not worth remembering anyway.

Anyway, your capo will be on the 4th fret (still in standard tuning). If you know how the song goes, the chord progression is as follows:

Em, C, G, D' (a modification of D... in other words, with respect to E A D G B E, it's 2 5 4 2 3 2)

Now, if you can get the basics of those chords, then the tab may or may not be easier for you. This is the riff that you repeat for a long time. Listen to the song and see if you can understand what I'm doing here. It's quick, so be ready. Just know how to position your fingers and you should be good. All numbers are relative to the capo.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----0---0h2p0---0-----0---0h2p0------------------------------2---2h4p2-- --2---2--------2-----2---2--------2------0---0h2h0---0-----4---4--------4 2-------------------3-------------------2---2--------2---2/5---------------- --------------------------------------3---------------------------------------

The 2/5 slide is tough as you play, so I'd recommend ditching it and just going with 5.

Guys, this isn't a thread for every song in the world that you like... this is songs that you must hear. As in: "Before you die, this song better be heard by your ears or your death deserves to be slow and painful."

Sexy Back- Justin Timberlake

Speaking of "Sexy Back"… my uncle is a huge fan of metal and hard rock that’s all he listens to. So the other day I got an e-mail it went something like this “you need to listen this song, it’s great”. He gave me a link to the song and what do you know, it was "Sexy Back". I got on the phone and called him… I asked him if he was serious and he wasn’t! I have lost all respect for him… :(

Pete Rock and CL are legends. That is probably one of my favorite tracks from them. I love the sound, good lyrics.

CL actual released his first album in 2006, his first since he split with Pete like 10 years ago. It's an above average album, but if you are a fan you should check it out, if you haven't already. A track on there called Smoke in the Air I like alot.

Yes, I listened. I gave it a fair shot, and I went away with less respect for them than I did going in.

Theresa's Sound World --- Sonic YouthI've heard all of these songs before (except for Perverted Monks in Tha House), and I can't say that I agree that any of these songs are "must-hear" songs.

Of course, you're not the only one... I'm sure if I looked further back on this list, I could name all too many. There probably aren't more than 30 songs worldwide that must be heard.

And remember that this isn't a list of favorite songs, either. I personally am indifferent toward Stairway to Heaven, but I agree when people say that it's a song that you must hear.
