I have always been a March Madness EA guy, but after playing NBA live and hearing that College Hoops is more realistic as far as play style I am making the jump to 2k7 this year. But I had a question about Legacy mode. When I start that, can I pick any team that I want, or do I have to start at the bottom of the ladder and work my way up? If you have the option of chosing one or the other, does it change anything about the Legacy mode if I select any team I want as opposed to starting off with one of the lower rung teams? Any help would be appreciated, I can't wait to get this game, it is going to be awesome!

With career mode you will pick a team from a list of small conference schools; you earn rating points for your coach by reaching goals. You are basically starting at the bottom and trying to get to the top.
With open mode you just pick a team and play. There is no improving your coach or nothing.

plus the career mode is a lot better than MM. The recruiting is a lot better and this year it has the NIT also in it.

I think by having the post-season NIT will really make the game more realistic especially when coaching a small or mid-major school. It will help a lot cuz if you win 19 total games and you came in 2nd pl. I believe you still should have a chance to play post-season ball in the NIT. So many times in the previous games I missed the NCAA tourney because of this scenario. By a least making it to the NIT every yr this also should increase your job offers during the off-season for bigger conferences.
