Any potential upcoming generic football game should allow gamers to create players and teams . . and be able to share those teams & players on the Internet for leagues based on the same team sets.
And then some energetic football game player will create a full version of the NFL teams and share it with anyone online. Viola! . . . a quasi-NFL football game from 2K Sports without getting 2K Sports in trouble since it is the end users creating their own quasi-NFL teams, NOT 2K Sports.
Players could also create versions of their favorite NCAA teams.
Heck, you could even create versions of your local high-school football teams! Create a 'Friday Night Lights' league.
