Maryland Eastern Shore was in its final year. There were not enough funds to support the school so they had one last year until they would all be transferred to the University of Maryland.
So they got a great coach who heard it was their last season, and he promised he would deliver.
Starting lineup-
PG- Rodrick Grant
SG- Mike McCants
SF- Will May
PF- Theo Duhon
C- Shavlik Horvath
Head Coach- Paul Casey
Asst Coaches- Michael Felton
Luke Gilchrist

It was going to be bad, and all the MD players knew it. Unfortunately, the coach overheard Rodrick Grant saying that the day before the game.
"Excuse me?" he half yelled. "I was just saying that the odds are in favor of Auburn and um... we probably will not come out on top," Grant replied
"So you're saying we wont win?" Coach seemed flabbergasted, "Why do you say that?"
"Well they're more talented than us and you know they play ball better than us." Rodrick said, almost scared to death.
"I see, boys you better not be thinking about getting back to your dorm tonight, get your gear on and we're heading out to the gym."
"COACH!" the boys moaned, "It is 10:30 at night."
"No excuses" "be there or dont come to the game tomorrow
As the boys filed in the gym coach was already there.
"Rodrick!" he announced, "come up here."
The coach proceded to ask Rodrick what Auburn was better at.
"Shooting, rebounding, assisting, blocking, the whole nine yards," he chuckled as the team laughed with him.
"I see," Coach responded "boys you just earned yourself a 2 hour practice, we are gonna make sure Auburn ain't better at those things. Line up! Rebounding drill for the next 15 minutes, then assisting, then shooting, then passing, then blocking, we are gonna practice every stat that has ever been put on a &$%^& stat sheet until we are at the top of our game."
For the next two hours the boys practiced.
The next day the boys dressed out for the game. Coach met them before the game. "Alright boys, remember what we practiced, we can beat these guys!"
It was not pretty, Auburn was crushing them the whole half. Rodrick Grant scored only eight, and Theo Duhon got only 5 rebounds. As they approached the locker room, Coach sat down and looked at them.
"Boys, it is dissapointing to see the way you are playing."
"We're tired coach."
"I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANY EXCUSES, YA'LL ARE NOT PERFORMING."
"Can you blame us? We stayed up till one doing drills."
"And that is your excuse? I understand that you might not have been as highly recruited out of high school as these guys, you might not have gotten the exclusive training that they have. BUT ALL OF YOU KNOW THE SAME BASIC FUNDAMENTALS THAT THEY DO, THE SAME BASIC FUNDAMENTALS THAT WE PRACTICED THAT NIGHT. THIS IS OUR LAST SEASON AND I WANT AUBURN AND EVERYONE ELSE TO REMEMBER US 'TIL JESUS CHRIST COMES BACK AND RAPTURES THE WORLD. I WANT THEM TO REMEMBER SHAVLIK HORVATH, I WANT THEM TO REMEMBER RODRICK GRANT, I WANT THEM TO SAY "THEO DUHON STEPPED UP, THEO DUHON DID HIS PART" I WANT THEM TO SAY MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE OVERCAME ALL ODDS AND FOUGHT THEIR HARDEST. I WANT US TO STEP UP AND BE THE VERY BEST WE CAN BE! NOW PUT YOUR HANDS IN AND LET US SEE WHAT YOU HAVE PRACTICED SINCE YOU WERE FOUR YEARS OLD. 123 TEAM!!!!!
They filed out of the locker room with new resolve, new courage, coaches awe inspiring speech had stuck in them and they were gonna give it their all.
They started out with the ball and passed it to Rodrick, who threw an entry pass to Shavlik Horvath, turn around touch shot, and an easy two. The score was 34-21 Auburn. Theo came down and guarded on Auburns number one player, who they consistently passed to to score. The threw an entry pass to him and he did a turnaround jumper. SMACK!! "Not on my watch buddy" Theo said to the stunned opponent. The rest of the game proceded as the same.
It was the final 13 seconds of the game, the score was 64-63 Auburn in the lead. Rodrick Grant had the ball and dribbled to the far corner of the front court and waited till the game clock was at 8 seconds, he dribbled up, did a sweet crossover move and found a wide open lane, as he approached it two guys stepped in to guard him, he passed out to Shavlik who fired a 14 footer at the buzzer. SWISH!!!
"MD EASTERN SHORE WINS!" screamed the announcer, "AN AMAZING START FOR THEM."
As they came into the locker room, coach said nothing and tears moistened his eyes

I will now start doing each of the games as all the other people do, not with all this dialogue.
MD-ES @ ILL
We all knew what the outcome would be in the beginning, the Auburn game was sheer determination by the players, but everyone has their limits. Illinois was ranked in the Top Ten, and were 2-0 so far, not to mention that this game was at Illinois.
We lost the tip off considering our center is 6'7 and Illinois went on a 11-4 run before Rodrick Grant hit two 3's to make it 11-10, Illinois started bombing the ball inside and our small size prevented us from a lot of rebounds, at halftime it was 43-34 Illinois. Our 3 point advantage saved us from an embarassing defeat, having 3 players that each average over 42% from 3 point land. Illinois outsized us though they did not necessarily outplay us.
Final score Illinois won 61-51
POTG- Rodrick Grant- 15 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 5 assists
Post game comment from coach: I did not expect us to go undefeated, we played a great team who outmatched us, but we gave it our all.

Maryland-Eastern Shore @ Robert Morris University
What should be a presumably easy game for MD-ES might turn out to be harder than expected, but if they can beat Auburn then they should be able to pull of a win from here.
HAHA I take it Robert Morris was not much of a basketball player, cuz his school was not much of a team. This could possibly be the easiest game I will play all year, and it was on All-American!
Robert Morris won the tipoff, went down and took a shot, which got blocked by Duhon, that was the guys highlights, taking a shot. After that they only got it past the backcourt once, only to turn the ball over. At halftime the score was 31-0 Maryland-ES was winning. Rodrick Grant has 29 points so far, and had hit 3 three pointers, Shavlik Horvath and Theo Duhon had a combined total of 24 blocked shots, each having 11 and 13 respectively. Mike McCants had scored the other points on a wide open jumper from about 18 feet out.
MD-ES got the ball at the start of the half and resumed their domination, Mike McCants got on fire from 3 point land and hit 5 consecutive 3's (yes this is for real) missed 2 in a row and then hit 3 more. He broke everyones ankles and scored 7/8 of MD-ES's points in the second half.
Final score MD-ES won 76-2 (they got two points off of free throws, our guys charged 8 times and they hit the front end of the 1 and 1 twice.)
POTG Mike McCants- 38 points. 9/13 from 3 point land, 3 assists, 8 steals, 1 blocked shot, 14 minutes

76-2! that's ridiculous. Were you playing on the easiest level? And what's the press glitch?

you trap the guy in the corner and he always throws the same pass, and you switch and steal it. (something like that)

Hey man, it's no fun to watch a legacy that are all blowouts, 76-2 is not interesting and I don't see how it can be fun for u, but whatever it's your legacy.

all blowouts? First I was playing on All-American, I just got lucky that I was able to trap them, second I have lost plenty of games, I have gotten blown out, (Maryland, Illinois, Oklahoma State)
Anyways, my computer has shut down and my season has ended, I lost 12 games and got to the NCAA tournament and got blown out in the first round. The Univeristy of Maryland won only two games so they offered me a job there, and I am taking it. I will now start over because my comp was screwed, and I will try to make this one a good legacy. So here it goes!
