just played the 49ers.....barlow had 19 broken tackles on 120 yards priest had 133 yards and 8 broken tackles, is priest to low or is BARLOW WAY TO F*CKIN hIGH jesus christ, the new holy trinity is, Ricky Williams(the role of god), Kevin Barlow(the role of Jesus), and last but the f*ckin least Eddie George(the role of the holy spirit). This just amazes me who did barlow pay off priest has 85 break tackle and he has 83 and barlow has 10 less over all points....man this just furiates me cuz barlow had 14 in the first half of the game

man, its nothing u can do about how many tackles they break, its all about what u do after they break that first tackle. Good thing this yr 2k4 has added the 'gang tackle" feature this yr. So if Barlow is running to the left or wherever and u have 2 guys coming his way and assuming that the 2nd guy doesn't ""trip"" over the guy who's leading the tackle, u should be able to stop em after that initial contact with your player. Have u played against Marshall Faulk @ the rams home??? If u did, i think uve probaly forgotten him on that list above...

I play with the pats, and use Antowain Smith... let me say one thing. I WISH he was this good in real life. The problem is not that the backs are too good, it's that there aren't enough situations where more than 1 defender is tackling the guy like in real life. Of course yes they do break too many tackles, but I think sega was looking for more fun tho they need to find the middle ground.

I have found someone who understands what the hell is going on. In the NFL defensive players are not satisfied with being blocked, but in this game players are outmatched when they are blocked. DB's are routinely blocked on sweeps and they typically fall to the ground when they are blocked. Linebackers take the worst angles to stop running plays which removes them from the play. Defensive lineman get pushed back 4 to 5 yds before they realize the plays has started. Gang tackles in this game only works when someone is running backwards becuase if you do not run at an angle the first animation is to have the initial tackle to slide off the runner even when the defensive players is in position.
By they way, Kevin Barlow has never been this good in real life. He is as good as Ricky in this game. Any runing back is trouble but Ricky, George, are the ones I see the most but Faulk is tough.

You should add those two as well. Although Dunn is a good back try to takle him! Also TJ Duckett another Earl Campbell ?? yeah right I am sorry but the Washington Redskins Linebackers are among the best in the league LaVar Arrington and Trotter both have slipped off while tackling them!!
YEAH RIGHT it just goes to show you that Sega doesn't understand American Football. I guess for great hitz I'll go buy Blitz!!!!

ya im sick and tired of seein people break great wrap up tackling linebackers like ray lewis half the bucs line backers seau and thomas i mean its so unreal they are unbelievable tacklers and someone like kevin barlow, aj ducket, jerome bettis(now version lol), or eddie george wouldnt break a straight up tackle by any of these line backers in real life let alone make them look as bad as they do in real life.

I think I am going to start a post of these RB's that, in this game, are way better than they could dream they would be in the NFL!! or even when they were in college for that matter!!
As I said in a previous post. Barlow and AZ's Marcell Shipp got my vote, along with Duce Staley... but he is on MY team but curiously, I don't complain when he lowers his shoulders and again an extra 7 yards LOL
