I just turned ESPN on at the right time to see Barry smash number 661 out into McCovey Cove. Man that was a shot he killed that ball. Everyone knew it was gone right away. I mean that thing sailed right out of the park man'o'man what a shot. I think he'll pass Babe this year and if not next year.

Steriods problably. Ken Camitty took those when he hit the 50 homers.

im not a real big bonds supporter but im happy he hit 661 though and i definately think he will have the record next year sometime depending on of course how many hrs he gets this year.

glad he got 661 so now there is nobody to pass rest of year and we can get on with the rest of the league and dont have to here anything about Balco Bonds anymore

BALCO Bonds will probably not pass Ruth this year (but he may get within 1-2 like he was with Mays) if he isnt walked 500 times...ESPN has it projected that Bonds would become Home Run king 20 games into the 2006 season...

bonds is now at 664 and counting thats good to see him hammering the ball like he is but im sure it wont be to long before he starts getting walked alot.

Pitchers need to start hitting Bonds in his stupid elbow. Then he'll back off the plate, and they can pitch to him like anyone else. Is it coincidence that he can't hit a pitcher who throws inside? NO! Any major leaguer can hit 73 if you tell him he will not get inside pitches! Especially with "performance enhancing drugs". Bonds=Big LOSE for baseball, when the results come up positive the fan base will plummet! Don't get me wrong, I don't think Bonds is the only one...
