HELP!!!!!!Cant play online!!!!!!!!!

:x i am having an extremely hard time trying to play espn basketball online. i have no problem logging in or starting a game. just that once a game as started i cant finish. what happens is the game will start and an error message comes up. it reads "A network problem has been encountered that prevents gameplay from continuing. If this is a ranked game it will not be counted." what is causing this error. i have a cable connection and have not problem playing madden or socom. it doesnt matter what kind of connection the other person has. i am also using a dlink router. i have played my friends who have dail up and the same cable connection. it all results in that same message and yet i am still able to talk back and forth on the mic when that error comes up. i dont understand. is anyone else having this problem or doe anyone know whats causing it?

dude its the same problem im having i can talk at the team select screen and when the game is loading but when ever i get into a game it comes up w/ that network error and madden and socom and all my other online games work fine but that stupid thing wont stay connected if u find out what the problem is pm me ok?
p.s. i have a cable modem and a linksys router
