Bigs franchise is caught in the middle go simulation and compete with mlb 2k series or stay goofy and get the arcade crowd.
I'm guessing they stay pinball arcade style

I really like the Hot Zone area added this go around and they way it can be taken away. That was an excellent addition, and something I had requested after playing the first Bigs.

I liked the fact that the points went away and you just got the abilities. I'm a huge fan of abilities over rating systems (All Pro Football 2K8 FTW there!).

Create a Player
Definitely need a better Create a Player. I was unable to create a player that resembled anything I liked (movie character) or myself, which greatly takes away from the fun/enjoyment.

Create Your Team
I would love the ability to create my own team. Perhaps promote the RoundRock Express to the majors for example (from Austin TX).

Take Out the Pitcher

Perhaps add the ability to target the Pitcher when batting. You can hit them right now, but it's random, versus a strategic decision.

Rush the Mound

I would really love a Rush the Mound feature after the player has been hit. Perhaps add some type of penalty to the batter / pitcher (maybe a button matching / mashing game as pileup/fight occurs).

Broken Bats
It would be nice to see some broken bats complete with flying debris on the huge hits.

HomeRun Race
Keep track of the most home runs and give us a weekly update.

Story Driven
Have you guys played EA's Road to Glory in NCAA? Ok, it's not great, but it's far better than past years. I used to LOVE the weekly recap shows in ESPN NFL 2K5. Anything you can add to make it a real story, dynamic, and give us weekly recaps, updates, and how our Legend is proceeding would be a GREAT addition to immersing us in the storyline of our Legend player. You guys are historically the best in the business at this stuff, yet it's all but missing from the Bigs.

Display Batter Position
I honestly don't follow the MLB at all, which is why Bigs is such a testament to how a quality game can pull in people who don't even like MLB. Because of this, I never know or bother to learn the players, but I do pay attention to the batting order. It would be really helpful to have the batting order position displayed when a player is up so I know which of my batters is next. I usually identify my 3 best batters and keep in mind when they are in the batting location, but I don't track who is before them, thus I never know when they will be up (yeah, I'm lazy).

Keep It Simple
Please keep it simple, and focused on fun. Don't go the attribute point route some have suggested, or make it too complicated to play. Half the fun is that there's a huge wow factor for very little investment on the part of the gamer.

1. Expand the rosters to 40-man rosters just like in the MLB. It's really frustrating when you don't have every player available for use.

2. Expand the pitching. Every team in the MLB have more than just 3 starters and 2 relievers.

3. Add Signature Styles. I know most batters don't change up their batting stance, but it would be INCREDIBLY nice to see those that do change up their stance, change their stance in the game. Also, every batter has their own unique batting stance. It was really irritating seeing a lot of players in The Bigs 2 have the same stances.

4. Create a Franchise Mode like in NBA 2K. It's really not fun playing through only one season in Season Mode.

5. Expand Become a Legend Mode. Retiring after four seasons made the mode TOO SHORT. Allow us to be a Major Leaguer until the player is possibly in his late 40s.

6. Allow created characters to be used in Season Mode. Isn't that the whole point of a Create-a-Player mode, to watch his career grow?

7. Expand trading. Trading one player at a single time really gets tiring after a while. At least allow us to trade up to 3 players at one time.

8. Add disabled lists, player signing, staff hiring and firing, team salary caps, salary arbitration, waiver transactions, Minor League call-ups, contract extensions. Those are what make baseball video games more interesting for me.

9. EXPAND THE INJURIES. How can a player be hit in the arm by a turbo fastball and still be able to play in the game and in the next one? I'd like to see a player have to sit out for a few games because of an injury.

10. Add a commenting TEAM. Damon Bruce can still be the play-by-play commentator, but have a sideline reporter (Craig Sager, perhaps?) give injury updates and manager interviews. Also, seeing Damon discuss a team's season or a player's stats with a color commentator would be a great addition.

11. Allow all Minor League teams to be used, if possible.

12. Allow players to customize the power-ups.

13. Broken bats. When a Big Blast or Big Slam or No-Doubter is used, it would be fun to see a player break their bat.

14. Expand online play. Online Franchise Mode would be AMAZING in the Bigs 3. Also, Online Co-Op would be a fun addition as well.

15. Create-a-Team, perhaps?

16. Add the alternate jerseys. The old school jerseys were nice, but the current alternates really should be added. Also, allow us to edit a player's jersey number when there are two players with the same number.

17. Integrate the crowd into the game. Have them chant "MVP!" when a player is have a stellar performance or is in consideration for MVP. When a pitcher is on the verge of a no-hitter, it would be great to hear the crowd get louder and possibly chant "MVP" or "Cy". Also have them boo a rival team or a team's superstar when they are at bat. It would also be really nice to see the crowd look more realistic, like seeing fans going up and down the stairs and watching the vendors selling hot dogs.

I realize The Bigs series is more of an arcade-style series, but it would make the series much more interesting if these suggestions were taken into consideration.

1. Add two alt unis per team. Most teams have at least two and the game would be so much better with them. This is my one real complaint about the game which shows how good it is.

2. Add more ball paths for hitters. After playing the game a few times it's pretty easy to tell if it will drop for a hit or not because you've already seen that ball path 100 times. If you guys could add just a few more it could be huge for gameplay. Of course it is an arcade game, BUT you guys have done so well with it I don't really expect what I would expect out of an arcade game I expect a lot more which is a good thing

3. Create more places to play HR pinball. Not like you really need to, but it would make the game much for fun if you did.

4. I love the mini games and I don't know how you guys could make them better (especially the running one) but if you guys could add more I don't see how I or anyone else who likes this game could put it down.

5. Almost forgot this one, but I don't know how it is on other fields, but I know in Turner Field (Braves) The players after they strikeout go to the wrong dugout. The home team in on the first base side of the field and I don't know if you guys would be willing to change that, but if you that would be great.

Thanks again for the great game and I look forward to seeing a The Bigs 3 next year. Now if only 2K could follow suit and release a half decent game.

Some of these suggestions are so complicated. Keep it SIMPLE!
1-5 stars. Great. Complications will steer me away.

Menus.
Wow, trading, finding stats in season mode, etc.
Why do sports games suck at making a menus and simple & accessible UI? *Cough cough EA*. I know its possible.

More customization when creating a player. I had to choose between caveman or gollum face when creating my player.... HAD to have a first AND last name.. I want to see the hilariousness on the back of his jersey all the time in a big last name.

UPDATE ROSTERS UPDATE ROSTERS UPDATE ROSTERS.
Keep rosters accurate. An update every month would be great... and IMPERATIVE in July, August, & September. Add 2-3 more bench players and extra player reserves too to make it easy to manage myself in between updates. I hate having to update the nitty gritties.
---If we cant do the often updates, then make it easier for me to update it myself.
Being able to FIND & track players would be helpful too. I dont know what team everybody is/was on.</i>

Release date --> Get it out early and update it reasonably often.

Theres not much that needs to be done for me to buy the next BIGS. Just some details here and there, some flashy stuff so that it feels NEW and not the same old thing.

-At least put my created player from become a legend in a Free Agent section.... And oh yeah, make a free agent group too!!!
-Season mode mini games are kinda silly, i feel like its such a chore to regain reliever stamina.
-Keep it uncomplicated, its fun to just stack your season team with whoever or take it "seriously" and stick with the true-to-life team.
-Make starters available for bullpen --maybe only in extra innings
-Allow to freely alter stats + add own unique powerups. Ex. Kendry Morales 2stars hitting. Breakout hitter of the year. Had to create new player. Ex. 2 Big Papi over-inflated stats but cant create a "new big papi".
-Title batting styles like "ichiro" "jeter" "manny" because "I" want to have my player's stance be like X's...
-Let the realists keep their games, dont change yours. It's too badass. NO salaries. NO disabled list.

Basically this game is our baseball fantasy. Give us a lot of free range to change stuff around and understand for the most part were not out to exploit anything.. and whats the harm if we do? If my lineup is Arod, Guerrero, Manny, Pujols, Utley, Hanley in season mode for the Padres... big deal... I'm having the time of my life and more likely to buy your next title.

Get Rex Hudler to do some commentary!! HAHA! That guy is one in a million. Dont do Craig Sager... too many people hate him.

I'm already so happy that you guys actually brought the BIGS 2 into my life. It needed to happen.

PS. I found homerun pinball boring and exciting for only a little bit. And that was a pretty big extra part of the game. I know I dont speak for everybody. But totally not my thing. Maybe some other mini-game modes.

First of all, I think the BIGS 2 is a great game, the detailled stadiums, the many gameplay modes, the way they created the different players with different skills, all makes this game more than worth my money (which wasn't that much compared to other games being released).

Few suggestions:

- Play as legends

- When you create a player (Become a Legend), make it possible to have a much flexible development on different levels. For example you can choose to start with more speed and less power, the more you hit HR or hits with power the better you become at that skill. The more bases you steal, the faster you get, Etc. Right now the become a legend path is very cool, but its also very determined how its gonna go.

- Keep the commentary and music, its great.

- It would be cool to create your own player and using him troughout every mode in the game, like in the season mode, homerun pinball, etc.

- Creating your own team and stadium would be cool.

- Keep the turbo, its great, it adds diversity and the possibilty to hit great hits with a not so great player. You just gotta use it at the right time.

- Maybe make it a bit harder to get legendary catches in the outfield, I know its arcadestyle (great) but it now feels a bit too much, like when a player is possible to dive for a ball which is gonna land miles away from him.

- When a pitcher doesnt have changeup, its easy to hit his pitches, specially when theyre all legendary, just push the hit button as fast as possible.

Best suggestion: dont try to make a completely new game with new gameplay, the bigs2 is great and should be a base for making the bigs3, which should be a upgraded version of bigs2.

I know it's been said but my biggest suggestion is to make become a legend more customizable instead of having a preset path; make it so you can choose where you want to put your stars but not make it so you can have 5 star/legendary everything, and also be able to choose from different powerups

Personally I think they should just scratch the bigs and put more effort and time into the MLB series.

I'd like it if your Become a Legend player didn't necessarily become legendary at EVERYTHING. I'd like it if it were sort of like Top Spin where you make the choice of what skills you want to be better at than others. It feels kinda cheesy to just be incredible at everything for me.

And extend season mode so that we can do at least a couple seasons. Maybe free agency, a draft, etc.
