Here's a few suggestions. They are all based off of the Bigs 2 for the PS2
1. Have a version of the game come out for the PS2. There aren't that many new games coming out for the PS2, so you wont have much competition. 2. Make the pitching more realistic. It's kind of weird watching a pitcher throw a 112 MPH fastball. Or if you leave that how it is, have the commentator say something like "I think the radar gun is broken!". Just something to make it a bit more real. 3. Have your rookie be a pitcher. That would be nice. 4. Have injuries. Seriously, you wouldn't get beaned in the head by a fastball and just get and go to first-base. 5. Keep the upgrade points. In the PS2 version of the game, you got to choose how your player evolved throughout the game. Keep it that way. 6. Make it easier to hit a home-run. If you have 4 or 5 star power, you should be able to hit a few no-doubters without using a turbo or big slam. 7. Make it easier to steal a base. If you have 5 star speed against a catcher with a 5 star arm, you should be able to steal as long as the pitcher doesn't throw a pitch that's in the 90 MPH range. And a four star runner should be able to do the same if the pitcher throws a curve or change-up. 8. Be able to fail a challenge and move on. I'm not talking about the mini-games, but stuff like the stat challenges. If you fail to, say, get three steals in a game, You should be able to redo the challenge, but not have redo it. At least make it so you can do that for the team stat challenges. Do that and some of the other suggestions and The Bigs 3 should be like the CoD: Modern Warfare 2 of baseball games. I love the game but I have some suggestions for the 3rd edition, specifically the "Become a Legend Mode":
1. MORE DEPTH IN THE STORYLINE - there needs to be more depth in the story line than just coming back from an injury... it has been suggested that a career could start at little league, but maybe a more appropriate start would be simply to begin in college (to play on a college team and try to win a College World Series, then get drafted) or starting at the lowest level of minor league ball and move up through the system. You could also add an ability to play in the Puerto Rican or Dominican winter leagues and even the Arizona Fall League in the early years of your legendary career to add more layers and stretch the game out. 2. LONGER CAREERS - a career in legendary mode lasts only 4 seasons and then you retire, which is absurd... perhaps it should be harder to improve your attributes so your career can last longer. Its kind of ridiculous to win the batting title, capture the HR record in a season and the league MVP in your fourth and last season and then you retire. To be a Hall of Famer in real life, you typically have to win a all of those awards possibly multiple times... 3. MORE VARIETY AND CHOICE IN TRADES AND FREE AGENCY - Everytime I get traded from my original team it is either to Philadelphia or Tampa Bay (depending on which League I have started in), and then I get traded back to my original team... I think it would be more enjoyable if I could be traded to different teams besides those two and I would be able to choose where I sign in free agency later on, instead of having to go back to my original team... |
