They were led by the same sound defense, and again an unpredictable ofense as the ground their way throught the NFC. Season highlights included the astonishing rokkie phenom, Devin Hester, going to the pro bowl in his first pro season after returning an nfl record 6 kicks for touchdowns. Bears 2007 - 2008 Season Preview Although it'll be very hard for the Bears to establish the same sort of dominance they showed in 2006, it is possible. If the offense finally emerges and plays to it's potential, the defence will hold it's own and Chicago may once again rule the NFC. The coach, softly spoken genius Lovie Smith expects exellence from his players and this year he think he will get it. He said " This team is capable of great things. The defense is as good as any i have seen, and may rival the legends from 1985, and i know the offense can make big plays, all my faith is in Rex (QB Rex Grossman) to lead this team. ![]() Offense QB : #8 Rex Grossman RB : #32 Cedric Benson FB : #37 Jason McKie WR : #80 Bernard Berrian WR : #87 Muhsin Muhammad TE : #82 Greg Olsen LT : #76 John Tait LG : #74 Ruben Brown C : #57 Olin Kreutz RG : #63 Roberto Garza RT : #69 Fred Miller Defense LDE : #93 Adewale Ogunleye LDT : #91 Tommie Harris RDT : #99 Darwin Walker RDE : #97 Mark Anderson SLB : #92 Hunter Hillenmeyer MLB : #54 Brian Urlacher WLB : #55 Lance Briggs LCB : #33 Charles Tillman FS : #38 Danieal Manning SS : #20 Adam Archuleta RCB #31 Nathan Vasher Special Teams Kicker : #9 Robbie Gould Holder : #4 Brad Maynard Punter : #4 Brad Maynard Long Snapper : #65 James Mannelly Punt Returner : #23 Devin Hester Kick Returner : #23 Devin Hester ![]() Key Players for 2007 - 2008 ![]() RB #32 Cedric Benson Benson will be a key cog in Chicago's offense this year and will have to shoulder the load himself after the departure of Thomas Jones to the Jets. ![]() MLB #54 Brian Urlacher Urlacher is the undisputed leader of this dominant Bears defense. The fans only expect more al pro play from their star linebacker this year. ![]() DT #91 Tommie Harris The words used to describe Harris' season last year were "Greatness interrupted" as the pro bowler went down with a hamstring injury and the defense showed the signs of wear and tear. This season, look for another pro bowl season from the young star. ![]() OLB #55 Lance Briggs Anyone near the level of Brian Urlacher deserves major credit and Briggs makes the bears linebacking corps one of the best, if not the best in the league. A great tackler with impressive wheels, Briggs looks comfortable this year with the Bears. Last edited by rh6 and dtrain; October 1st, 2007 at 05:33 PM. |

I say Jon Kitna burns the Chicago D which Hands Chicago a loss, Kitna bounces back after we tortured him and the Lions last week. My prediction 30-15 if Griese has a big game i might have faith in the rest of the bears season.
