Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are coming into the 2007-2008 season in a strange way. They say the entire Falcons team was in the dog fighting along with Michael Vick. Bobby Petrino said "I am very disappointed in this group and now that they have been banend from football for life, we will have to go out a find players off the streets." Well Atlanta held their team tryouts in the Georgia Dome in hope that some undiscovered talent can come. They came opon some very interesting players. The 1st stand out player they found was QB Dwyane Carter. He is a very mobile QB, and extremly accurate and has a pretty strong arm. They came accross a mix between strong and speedy HB Brian Gordon. Gordon looks like an Adrian Peterson type of player, who can crank that speed button whenever he wants.

They found a perfect TE for this offense in Mike Hunt. He looks like a guy who can be a reliable target for Carter, like a Jeremy Shockey. Jose Vilasmil looks like he can be one of the best recievers in the league. He is a speed buner with very doft hands. He is almost like a Randy Moss or Chad Johnson. They found another pure speed back in Jordon White. He is blazing quick almost liek a Reggie Bush. They found a stand out reciever in Jalen Moss. He looks to be a possetion reciever. Coach says hes their main man on a 3rd down. They found their 1st defensemen in Jules Jackson. He loosk like he could be a Julius Peppers or a Michael Strahan.

Then they found a heck of a player in Reggie Slaton. He looks like a lockdown coner who can shut down any WR in the league. Then found vertistile Donte Mayo. Rumor has it that he can play WR, HB, and QB. For now, he will be our slot WR. They found DeAngelo Ware. Not much known about him. Hes pretty good. After him came a standout SS in Jamaal Carter. He is a big hitter and a great coverageman. Call him Ed Reed. Jean Kisa will be our inside LB. He is strong and a solid tackler and coverageman. Matt Johnson came along. He looks like Reggie Slaton alot. He has same qualities. Then came the twins Reggie Gray, and Bobby Gray as our OLB's. Both are quick and will rack up tons of tackles. Our DT's are Jeremey Green and Simon Wade.

This team looks very solid and loosk better than the original Falcons. Carter will be a key piece in running this offense. He plaeyd for GT and had trouble when using his speed a bit to much to run which led to fumbles. He will have to controll that. Jose Vilasmil came out of Michagan and he thinks hes superman. He needs to calm down a bit, and keep it play by play. Slaton coming out of Oklahoma, he lets his play do the talk. But he does get beat quite alot so he need sto boast up his speed. All and All, this team loosk liek it can do great things. Maybe even make history. All we can hope for as Falcons fans is that each player can do their part and win us a superbowl.

Monday Night Crews Take

Well Chris, the Falcons are coming into this game with a whole new team and a whole knew stratagy. What do you think the keys for this team to win are? Well I think that they will have to pound the ball with White, and get it in the air to Vilasmil. If Carter can limit his runs and stay in the pocket and get in a rythme, he is dangerous. White will also have to contribute on the ground with his speed. He needs good blocking and needs open field. If he can get that you can consider hi mgone. Slaton is going to need to shut Troy Williamson down!! He is their only passing threat if they can stop him, they can't pass. They will have to stay on the ground with Taylor. Jean Kisa will have to stop Taylor so they cant basically do anything at all.

So basically the key to this game is the Falcons defense. The Falcons have a pretty good defense and if they stop the Vikings, they are bound to score at one point. Look for Jose Vilasmil to have a good game. He can beat the Coner and SS that will be gaurding him with his speed. Also he is the master of those quick slants and Carter loves to throw those. This should be a fun game to watch as replacements of NFL players are going up against an NFL tem. This game is packed solid and their isn't an empty seat in the house. If Vilasmil plays well, the Falcons will win.

Carter got hot!

Carter was on fire, Falcons win 21-7

Well the big story in this game was how well Dwyane Carter did. He used his skills in running the ball, and passing the ball to help Atlanta come out of the game victorious. The main reason for his success was Jalen Moss. Moss was everywere for Carter, which made it easier on him to drop back, and pass the ball. Mike Hunt had a solid game as well. He made some pretty key catches and moved the chains. Jordon White did an exelent job running the ball. HE broke 2 20+ gains and looked to be unstoppable. He didn't score any TD's, but he put Carter in position to throw them in.

The Defense came up huse today only allowing 7 points for the Vikings. Jules JAckson broke into the backfield for 4 tackles and 1 sack. JAckson was quick around the edge and looked viscious and hungry to hit someone everytime he was back their. Reggie Slaton was LOCKDOWN!! He allowed 1 catch for -3 yards from Williamson!! Slaton got 1 INT and almst brouhgt it to the house, but Williamson took him down. Matt Johnson did a solid job only allowing his reciver 49 yards. The lone TD came from a Chestor Taylor run. He pounded up the middle for a quick score.
