I'm embarrassed on your behalf, 2kSports. If it was 1989 and I had a choice to choose between your game and Bases Loaded 2, I'd go with the latter.

Is this really what "Next Gen" is supposed to be about? Is it "Next Gen" to turn on your HDTV, pop in MLB 2k8, and then have to drop my screen to 720 just so I can make the game semi-playable? Seriously, the game is UNPLAYABLE in 1080! And when you do try to play it in 1080, don't expect the graphics to blow you away because they are WORSE than last year's. They aren't even in the same ballpark as The Show's. Oh, and the transitions between scenes couldn't be more herky-jerky. Damn, I'm disappointed with this title!

It's a shame that 2KSports didn't put half a second of effort into making sure that the gameplay performed in a fluid format, because I think that the features of this title actually show some promise. BUT, that's not the circumstances we're dealing with here, are we? Instead, we have game who's features are useless because you can't even follow what you're doing on the screen due to such a poor presentation.

I want a PS3 so bad! It's unfortunate that I actually trusted the people behind 2k8 to make a good game, because now I'm $65 further away from owning a PS3. I played The Show at Best Buy before I bought this horrible excuse for a baseball game and it was the most beautiful portrayal of baseball on a video game console that I've ever seen.

Go ahead, 2kSports, and delete this post from the board. I totally understand how you can be embarrassed by my evaluation. And the reason my post hurts you so badly is because you know that I speak the truth. You released a game that doesn't meet the standards of your devoted fan base who has no other choice but buy your game because it's the only game in town for 360 owners. If there was ever a time to pull out all the stops and make your company the most respected baseball game maker in the country, it was now. Instead, you guys look like a company who no longer gives a damn about putting together a decent title because you know that a big payday is on its way as a result of a buyout. And that's no way to do business.

I hate to talk mess about anyone or any company, but as a consumer, I can't help but be upset over the fact that I payed 65 bucks for a game that made me more angry than it did happy.

Well, I guess there's always next year...

This game really is bad. The framerate is unexcusable and the game is basically the same as last year. Im so sick of not having a good baseball game to play and 2k8 is just awful. Its a downgrade from last year. I am just glad i payed for it with trade ins because its going right to CD/Game exchange.

It seems here that through the power of video games the youth of America is getting their first real taste that America is a country built on companies/corporations making money off the stupid, uninformed, loyal customers. If last year didn't teach you to NEVER buy an MLB 2K game ever again until the reviews came out, then nothing will. 2K makes an amazing NBA game, but this isn't hoops - it's baseball. And when it comes to that, 2K has been a huge let down. Sorry you got ripped off. 2K was counting on you though, that's why they didn't release a demo or any reviews til all the suckers bought their game because they have no patience whatsover. I am not a fan of the Show either.

If you would go out and spend $60 on a 2K baseball game sight unseen you deserve to lose your money. What are you guys retarded or something ?

Ever hear of Gamefly ? Or Blockbuster ? GF shipped my copy today. If I dont like I send it back. No big deal.

If you little kids had any patience you would wait a few days to get the game and not waste your money. Dont be mad because your immature and impatient. Noone forced you to buy the game.


Now go out, show the same immaturity and impatience, and spend another $500 to play The Show and PRAY the PS3 becomes as worthwhile a purchase as Sony would like you to believe.

Us 360 owners don't have much of a choice other than to buy it sight unseen. What are we supposed to do... NOT play a baseball video game this year? That's just not gonna fly for most of us die-hards.

Buy it, rent it, steal it, it doesn't matter. Ultimately, 2KSports should have just put out a game that doesn't play like a stutterer stutters.

do what i did..perfect the sliders and play 2k7 until its worth 60 dollars to buy a new game...i just dont see a few new controls making it worth 60bucks and i might not even use them......the way i have 2k7 set up now is easily the best baseball game iv played so unless they can top what i had to do to their game to make it a sim then ill be playin 2k7 for a while....its got sig stances and pitching and good graphics and gameplay after i tweaked it so i dont thin ill be payin 60 for a downgrade.
