considering donnie murphy, A's and dodgers in the 80's, is black and dale murphy is white, braves for most if not all of his career; I would have to say they are not related.

Um, Donnie is not black---> Donnie Murphy

Also, he has only played for Kansas City. Where did you get the A's and Dodgers in the 80's?

Dale Murphy did play for the Braves for most of his career (1976-1993), finishing with the Rockies. He also played for the Phillies---> Dale Murphy (and in case anyone is wondering, Dale was white, so you did get that right.)
