Big Leaguers Step Up to Virtual Plate at Spring Training
More than 30 Major League Players from the Cactus League competed in a Home Run Derby contest of MLB 2K8 as part of the Third Annual 2K Sports Video Game Challenge at Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event, held in memory of Joe Kennedy, was hosted in partnership with the Baseball Wives Charitable Foundation, and helped raise money for Boys & Girls Clubs of Denver and Oakland.
Todd Helton took home the trophy (and Big League bragging rights) with a win over Tom Diamond in the Championship Round.
