Required Skills

Visual Concepts is seeking a seniorâ€level candidate with demonstrable passion for and experience in animation technology to participate in Visual Concepts’ onâ€going evolution of realism in sports franchises, including the world’s topâ€rated and topâ€selling NBA 2K series. The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a deep understanding of animation methodologies and leading technical trends, and a passion for helping create software that is ultimately indistinguishable from real life.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Master’s Degree preferred
Shipped at least two commercial videogame titles in an animation software engineering role
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of motion simulation and animation techniques
Strong familiarity with the major animation packages in use in the industry, and experience writing plugins for such systems
The deep desire to push the boundaries of what is possible in animation in games currently
Familiarity with animation system programming, having written or at least heavily modified an existing animation engine
Strong math background with an enjoyment of complicated mathematical formulations
High proficiency in C/C++
Deep understanding of object oriented programming
Able to diagnose and solve problems quickly and independently
Able to learn and master complicated code systems

The term "user interface" in video games continues to grow in its meaning beyond the earliest concepts of menus and icons. It is the connection between user and game, between user and user, and between user and worldâ€atâ€large, and the difference between an "average" user interface and a "great" user interface is the difference between soâ€so experiences and true excellence and amazement. Requirements
