12/24 Roster Highlights

New Animations - Brandon Roy now has a new iso package assigned to him.
Latest News - Elton Brand will miss at least one month with a separated shoulder after landing hard on the court. His doctor says surgery is not required, although it may be necessary down the road to prevent a recurring problem. Antoine Walker had not seen the light of day in a Memphis uniform and never will. The Grizzlies waived him last week thus officially ending his short stint with the team. Mickael Pietrus is back for the Magic after missing 10 games with an injured thumb. He's coming off the bench while he gets his legs back, but should soon reclaim the starting SG spot. Malik Hairston rejoined the Spurs and Dee Brown signed with the Suns after getting released from the Wizards a couple weeks ago.
Biggest Movers - Brandon Roy has flexed his muscle as a scorer, highlighted by a 52 point performance on TNT. While he is not flashy or an elite athlete, he is one of the NBA's younger stars and the face of the Blazer franchise. Danny Granger is probably the best "unknown" player in the league. Unknown to the average fan, but definitely a familiar name to visitors on this blog. His all-around game is impressive as he also brings it on the defensive end. Jameer Nelson was awarded the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for his stellar play. He's running the Magic smoothly and has them near the top of the East. Rookie Russell Westbrook has turned heads despite playing for OKC. He along with Kevin Durant and Jeff Green form a strong, young nucleus for the Thunder. Those who took the biggest hit to their ratings include Elton Brand, Rudy Fernandez, Raja Bell and Tyson Chandler.
I would like to wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy holiday weekend. Hopefully you have time to catch a few [or all 5] games on Christmas Day wherever you are.
