It's just over a week into the 2008-09 NBA season, and there's already been some major off-court moves. Unless you had your head in the sand (or were lining up early to cast your vote) you know that Allen Iverson was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Detroit Pistons in a blockbuster deal on Monday, sending Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb to Denver in exchange.
And for all of you who wanted to jump into a game and play with A.I. as a Piston, you could do exactly that - just 12 hours later - thanks to the new Living Rosters feature in NBA 2K9. Whether you set your game for automatic downloads, or prefer to get your roster updates manually, the new rosters with Iverson on Detroit and Billups on Denver were available at midnight PT the day of the trade. Now, can any other NBA game say the same? Seems like that DNA feature that others are touting isn't turning out to be so dynamic after all.
